STATEMENT
愛おしい生きものたちを描いています。
私をつくってくれている細胞たち
食べられることによって血肉になってくれている食べ物たち
体の中で絶えず働き続けてくれている内臓たち
そして胎盤の中で卵から人にまで発生していく子供たち。
羊水と太古の海の成分はとても似ていて
生きものが地球に誕生してから現在までの進化を
胎内で繰り返しているように感じられます。
子供の頃にふと考えていた
どうして自分は生きているのか
生きているって何なのか。
そこに
自分の中身や周囲に溢れている
生きものたちを見つめることで
近づけると思うのです。
I have been drawing lovely creatures.
Cells make own body,
Foods become blood and flesh,
Internal organs are working intracorporally,
And unborn children grow from ova to human.
Ingredients of amniotic fluid and primeval sea are very similar.
I think that creatures repeat evolution from primeval time to the present time in the womb.
When I was a child,
I was wondering why I had lived,
what is to live.
Musing over creatures in my body and surround,
I want to approach them.
